What care can look like
Your path through psychiatry should feel intentional, collaborative, and personalized. Care may look different for each person, but here is an idea of how we might work together:
We start with a thorough intake.
Initial appointments may last up to 90 minutes, as needed, so there is time to understand your concerns, history, goals, and the bigger picture of what is affecting your mental health. Together, we create a treatment plan that may include medication, therapy referrals, lifestyle supports, labs, collaboration with other providers, or other next steps. We follow up often enough that you are not left wondering.
Early follow-ups are usually more frequent, especially when starting or adjusting medication. These visits are a chance to talk through how you are feeling, what has changed, what is helping, and what still needs attention. Check-ins are not just a list of standard questions — they are a conversation. We adjust the plan as your life changes.
Over time, care may become more spaced out when things feel stable, or more frequent when you need additional support. The goal is not to keep you in treatment forever unnecessarily, but to build a thoughtful, sustainable plan that continues to fit your needs.
How this practice is different
You will be listened to carefully. Appointments are designed to allow time for context, not just symptoms.
Care is collaborative. We make decisions together, with respect for your values, concerns, and lived experience.
Treatment is not one-size-fits-all. Your plan may include medication, therapy, referrals, lifestyle changes, or integrative supports.
I help connect the dots. When appropriate, I can help coordinate referrals for therapy, primary care, acupuncture, nutrition, sleep support, or other services.
The relationship matters. This practice is built for thoughtful, longer-term psychiatric care — not rushed, fragmented visits.
